Our cooking school “Cucina in Cantina” established in 2009 specialises in Umbrian home-cooking. A hands-on approach is favoured in the kitchen where the atmosphere is friendly and warm. All the recipes are exquisite and simple to make. Particular attention is given to local seasonal products and traditional flavours. After the cooking, a convivial lunch or dinner is served paired to the Antonelli wines.
A team of passionate “casalinga” home cooks, namely Laura and Nicoletta and Australian Home Economist Wendy Aulsebrook will teach many aspects of food preparation and cooking techniques. Undeniably an experience that will be worth remembering!
Wendy’s profession began in Australia as a Home Economist and Food Stylist. Her gastronomic curiosity led her “into culinary journeys” and into firsthand experiences with “local” eating habits.
Class sizes range from 4 to 12 people. Lessons are available all year round from Monday to Saturday.
A guided tour of the winery is included and each participant will take home a set of printed recipes. Children are most welcome to join in the fun at a reduced price. The lessons are available in English or Italian.
Bookings are essential with a minimum of 4 days in advance.

Pick up one of our fold-out maps at our wine shop and enjoy a walk or bicycle ride along one of the 3 routes amongst the vineyards or in the woods Il Macchione of Antonelli. Information panels have been erected in English and Italian along the paths to inform you of the vast fauna and flora.
The black summer truffle can be found in the Il Macchione woods of Antonelli that has century old oak trees. The truffle hunt is with an expert truffle hunter or trifolao as he is known in Italian and his dogs that are specially trained to sniff out the truffles. It really is something to experience!
